A brief summary of the work involved in this Contract is; Part A - Repairs of various areas of asphalt along the Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway (Linc) consisting of approximately; 32,000 square metres of Asphalt Repairs. Part B - Resurfacing of various other locations of asphalt throughout the City of Hamilton , consisting of approximately: 21,218 square metres of road resurfacing 111 linear metres of curb reconstruction 839 square metres of concrete sidewalk and approaches Any excavated soil materials are to be re-used within the same work areas Bidders are advised of the following Contract requirements for this Request for Tenders: Bid Security Bid security: $130,000.00 The City will only accept a digital bid bond in an electronically verifiable and enforceable (e-Bond) format. Performance and/or Labour and Material Payment Security The Successful Bidder will be required to provide a Performance bond in an amount equal to 50% of the Base Bid Price, excluding any contingency amount and all Value Added Taxes; Labour & material payment bond, in an amount equal to 50% of the Base Bid Price excluding any contingency amount and all Value Added Taxes.
