Reference Number 0000314283 Question Acceptance Deadline 03/31/2023 02:00 AM EDT Questions are submitted online Yes Windsor High School is seeking proposals for the replacement of its existing turf field. The new turf field should meet all relevant safety and quality standards while also providing an excellent playing surface for various sports. The project will include the removal of the existing turf field, installation of the new turf field, and all other necessary work to ensure that the new field meets the requirements outlined in the project manual. There are no other specifications other than what is included in this RFP package. Any questions on this RFP must be submitted in writing through our RFP solicitation page on Bidnet Direct. These questions go directly to Memorie Dudley, Purchasing Manager for Weld RE-4 School District. All correspondence after the issuance of this RFP shall be directed through the Weld RE-4 Purchasing Manager as identified in this document. Any contact outside of the Purchasing Manager will be considered non-compliance and cause for rejection of Proposal packet. All questions or requests for clarification must be received no later than March 31st, 2023, at 2:00 PM MST to ensure that there is adequate time to respond and take appropriate action (if needed) prior to the deadline. The synthetic turf project at the Windsor High School stadium includes removal and legally disposal of the existing 13-year old synthetic grass system including the sand-rubber infill; re-grading of the existing aggregate subgrade to re-establish the original crowned condition which could require additional aggregate (any additional aggregate will be priced per the unit pricing included in this proposal); the evaluation of the existing 2x composite attachment material and if needed, the removal / replacement of new composite 2x attachment materials (any additional composite attachment material will be priced per the unit pricing included in this proposal); installation of new geo-textile across the limits of the newly graded infield; installation of synthetic resilient surfacing; the installation of a new synthetic grass system, to include a 2"h. pile height, turf with the specified infill system - striped with permanently inlaid striping for NFHS / CHSAA compliant and other field area graphics specified herein The existing perimeter curbing and nailers should be evaluated for soundness / damaged only as required and other related work to accommodate the new playing field system for the field shall be included in the unit pricing. The existing herringbone flat drain and perimeter drain shall be protected in place. Any damage to the drain during removal of the existing turf will be repaired at the expense of the contractor. The existing leveling course and 3/4 " aggregate base course located beneath the existing infilled synthetic surface is a vertically draining system utilizing a subsurface drainage col lection system that connects to a storm sewer system. The playing field contractor will coordinate the installation of the new synthetic turf system with the other field elements to ensure proper drainage of the overall playing field system. Contractor to demo / remove the existing goal posts, abandoning the existing concrete foundation in place and then providing new goal posts as specified herein. Contractor shall submit shop drawings indicating all logos, lines and lettering for approval by the Districts' Owner's Representative prior to manufacture and delivery of the synthetic grass. Contractor to provide Additive Alternate pricing for an annual maintenance program to support the District with the proper care and maintenance of the new synthetic surface - to include field inspection, grooming and summary report. Contractor shall restore existing landscaping damaged during installation of new turf. Damage to landscape will include all areas compacted by construction activities, material storage, driving or parking within the site. Site restoration includes, but is not limited to hardscapes, asphalt, irrigation lines, sprinkler heads, fencing, bleachers and other struc tures, etc 23-01
