2023 Water Softening Salt Each bid shall contain the full name and address of each person or company interested in the same and shall be accompanied by a per- sonal bond, in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code, in the amount of 100% of the bid, or by a certified check, cashier's check or irrevocable letter of credit for ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the City of Athens, Ohio, conditioned that if a bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into within (60) sixty days after notice of acceptance. A performance bond of the one hundred percent (100%) of the amount of the contract with a satisfactory surety company will be required for the performance of the contract. The City of Athens reserves the right to waive informalities as may be in its best interest.
