Contract Estimated Cost Base Bid $497,000.00 Alternate G-1 : Alden Library - Soft Washing Building $40,000.00 Alternate G-2: Alden Library - Window Resealing $26,000.00 Alternate G-3: Brick Pavers over Geo-grid $26,000.00 More Info: Contact Trent DeBruin with VSWC Architects via email at trent.debruin@vswc.com. Question Deadline 03/21/2023 A. The Project will have one General Contract Bid Package covering all work on the Project, except as specifically noted otherwise. 1. Multiple Campus locations - Rinsing exterior masonry, cleaning of all brick and stone masonry with an approved masonry cleaner, rinse of the concrete plaza deck and steps, rinsing of exterior wood trim and masonry, rinsing of sidewalks around the perimeter, rinsing of all columns and trim, and includes all labor, material, and equipment needed to complete the scope. 2. Removal of existing gravel walkway and construction of new concrete sidewalk. B. Existing Conditions: Contractor shall include Work made necessary by field conditions that may not be shown in the Contract Documents but that are apparent during an inspection of the construction site. Contractor shall conduct a preconstruction survey using video and/or photographs and provide copies to the Architect for record. C. Permits: It is solely the contractor's responsibility to obtain any and all necessary permits related to this project. D. Safety: The Contractor shall be responsible for initiating, maintaining and supervising all safety precautions and programs in connection with the performance of his Work. The Contractor shall take reasonable precautions for safety and protection to prevent damage, injury or loss. E. Tests & Inspections: 1. Tests, inspections and approvals of portions of the Work required by the Contract Documents or by laws, ordinances, rules, regulations or orders of public authorities having jurisdiction shall be made at the appropriate time and shall be scheduled by the Contractor. The Contractor shall give timely notice of the schedule of such procedures. F. General Installation Guidelines 1. Do not use tools or equipment that produce harmful noise levels. 2. Use products, cleaners, and installation materials that are not considered hazardous. G. Conflicting Requirements: If compliance with two or more standards is specified and the standards establish different or conflicting requirements for minimum quantities or quality levels, comply with the most stringent requirement. Refer uncertainties and requirements that are different, but apparently equal, to the Architect for a decision before proceeding. H. Minimum Quantity or Quality Levels: The quantity or quality level shown or specified shall be the minimum provided or performed. The actual installation may comply exactly with the minimum quantity or quality specified, or it may exceed the minimum within reasonable limits. To comply with these requirements, indicated numeric values are minimum or maximum, as appropriate, for the context of requirements. Refer uncertainties to the Architect for a decision before proceeding
