Phase 1 - 600 Longworth Street HVAC Equipment Plus Installation Options The Engineer's Estimate for Base Bid: $ 374,078.25 Project Location: 600 Longworth Street - Dayton, Ohio 45402. Greater Dayton RTA's 600 Longworth Street building currently has 4 makeup air units (MAU-5, -6, -8, and -10) that are not operational. Greater Dayton RTA is currently in the process of preparing bid documents for a project at 600 Longworth Street that includes asbestos abatement, selective demolition, new roofing system, fire alarm upgrades, photovoltaic (PV) systems, HVAC controls, and HVAC modifications to the building. In order to procure the non-operational makeup air units as quickly as possible while mitigating long lead times, Greater Dayton RTA is soliciting bids as described in the Bid Items below (see Base Bid and Bid Option 1) to pre-purchase replacement makeup air units for the nonoperational units. While MAU-1, -2, -3, -4, -7, and -9 are all currently operational, they are near or at the end of their useful life and are planned to be replaced. The intent of Bid Option 2 is to procure the remaining makeup air units for equipment and system consistency. Two phases of work are expected to complete the overall project. Phase 1 Base Bid includes pre-purchase and delivery of makeup air units. Phase 2 work includes asbestos abatement, selective demolition, new roofing system, fire alarm upgrades, photovoltaic (PV) systems, HVAC controls, and HVAC modifications to the building. Work covered by these Contract Documents is for Phase 1 of the project only. The remainder of the project (Phase 2) will be solicited by Greater Dayton RTA at a later date. The installation of the makeup air units described in Phase 1 Bid Option 1 is intended to be temporary until the commencement of Phase 2. If the makeup air units are installed in Phase 1 of the project, Phase 2 will require the units to be uninstalled and stored in a phased sequence so that other work on the roof can commence. The Base Bid Work of this Project shall be completed and ready for installation no later than September 15, 2023 1. Base Bid: Furnish, deliver to site, and store MAU-5, -6, -8, and -10 as indicated in the Contract Documents. Coordinate on-site storage location with Owner. See Bid Option 1 for installation of units. Do not include installation costs in Base Bid. 2. Bid Option 1: Demolish and legally dispose of existing MAU-5, -6, -8, and -10. Install new MAU5, -6, -8, and -10. Bid Option 1, if awarded, will be temporary until commencement of Phase 2 work. Phasing and sequencing of demolition and installation work shall be coordinated with Owner. Demolition and installation of makeup air units shall be performed 1 unit at a time. 3. Bid Option 2: Furnish, deliver to site, and store MAU-1, -2, -3, -4, -7, and -9 as indicated in the Contract Documents. Coordinate on-site storage location with Owner. Do not include installation costs in Bid Option 2.
