Mines heating plant serves the steam piping distribution network in an underground tunnel system for the entire campus. Boiler 3 needs to be replaced. New equipment would enable a reduction in central plant overall emissions. Early planning for the design phase will include permitting and notifying the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) of emission rates from campus. General Requirements - Bidder Prequalification/Preregistration Required The selection of an A/E firm involves two stages: submittals will be screened and scored resulting in a shortlist of firms invited to participate in oral interviews; then Colorado School of Mines will attempt to negotiate a contract with the highest ranked firm following the interview segment.
