Renovation of an office development in Saint Joseph, Missouri. Working plans call for the renovation of a office development.
As of June 08, 2023 bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid. It is the intent ofthese specifications to describe the installation ofthree clerk (teller-type) windows in the Assessor's Office ofthe Buchanan County Courthouse, 411 Jules Street, St. Joseph, MO. Saw cut and demo three (3) openings in 16" brick wall to accommodate 3'x3 ' clerk windows in existing wall Furnish and install necessary components for temporary sheet rock walls in common area and office area for vendor to control dust and debris; temporary walls to be removed at the end ofthe project and area completely cleaned and all debris removed Demo existing clerk countertops, cabinets, windows and interior door completely to floor level; all debris (except one tempered glass partition - marked with painters' tape) becomes the property ofthe contractor and must be removed from the building Install structural tube or channel as shown on attached drawing for structural support and metal wrap around on three window sides Install two new quartz countertops 36" h x 45" d (approximately 29" of countertop on clerk side; customer side to be the depth ofthe wall (approximately 16"; glass to be installed at interior edge ofbrick wall); cabinets to have pencil drawers and openings underneath and at least one 2" grommet with cover on clerk side; countertop to be solid surface quartz; two windows to be at height offan coil unit vent cover; on clerk side of two windows, the countertop is to be one continuous piece approximately 100" in length (from inside ofchase to approximately 6" from door casing); one window (the farthest to the west) must be ADA compliant; clerk side of countertop to be one continuous piece approximately 60" (from exterior wall to inside ofchase). Install tempered teller glass with speakers at standard height from top ofcut out to approximately 4 !4" above counter top; re-install tempered glass partition from item 3 between two adjacent windows Repair ceiling where existing millwork and glass are demoed Remove tile carpet in line with existing VCT tile; furnish and install new VCT tile and transition strip; VCT area is approximately 9' w x 22 16' 1 Install one electrical outlet, one internet drop and one phone at each counter location; use ofwire molding is permitted; relocate existing panic button from current location to new counter area (ADA area has existing electrical outlet that is to be re-used) Patch and paint walls to match existing Pricing shall include the necessary labor, material and equipment to satisfactorily complete project; success vendor to provide countertop, cabinet, flooring and any other necessary samples; Success vendor must submit drawing to be approved prior to construction ofthese units; Project shall be completed within 45 calendar days from May 1, 2023 Please contact Courthouse Maintenance personnel to see location and accessibility by calling 816-344-7514
