1. The Project consists of: The project consists of interior repairs, driveway repaving, repairs to the front steps and new exterior doors. The scope of interior repairs includes the upstairs unit of a 2-family house, including inunit stairways and a basement storage area. Interior repairs include plaster repair, wood trim repair, new and repaired doors, new resilient flooring, patching and repair of wood flooring, bathroom and kitchen renovations, tile, new lights and smoke detectors, mise electrical upgrades, 2 replacement windows, window repairs and screens, window treatments, and painting. Asbestos was detected in the flooring of 2 rooms. There are four alternates for additional work. 2. All Work either shown on the Drawings or included in the Specifications unless specifically indicated as not to be done. The Project consists of: repairs to the interior of 225 Tremont St, repaving the driveway, repairs to the front steps and new exterior doors. Newton Housing Authority invites sealed bids from Contractors for Repairs and Renovations at 223-225 Trem- ont Street, Newton, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by Reverse Architecture. The Project consists of interior unit renovations and exterior repairs and associated work including driveway repaving, front step repairs, new exterior doors. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 26 to 27H inclusive. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the fol- lowing category of work, General Building Construction, and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibil- ity and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. There are no Filed Sub-bids for the trades on this project. General bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the Newton Housing Authority.
