Bids are invited for the following: Removal and replacement of approximately 3375 LF of non-ADA compliant sidewalks along both the east and west side of Highland Road and the north and south side of Crescent Drive from West 32nd Street to West 26th Street (SR 20). The new sidewalk shall be 5 in width and 4 thick and through the driveways it will be 6 thick with 1.4 wire mesh. Any driveways that are altered will have an apron to the road surface installed. Bid will also include all restoration. All sidewalks, aprons, and safety barricading of sidewalk under construction must be in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and the 2011 Proposed Accessibility Guidelines for Pedestrian Facilities in the Public Right-of-Way, published in the Federal Register for public comment on July 26, 2011. Bidder will supply a separate Lump Sum price along with an item breakdown. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a certified or cashier's check or bid bond with corporate surety payable to Millcreek Township in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid price. The project is being carried out with Community Development Block Grant funds from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development. The bidder s attention is called to the federal and state civil rights and equal employment opportunity requirements; MBE/WBE and Section 3 Compliance Requirements; and the requirement to pay Davis Bacon Wage Rates and comply with applicable labor standards provisions, all as set forth in the Contract Documents. Bids may be held by the Township for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding the contract. Millcreek Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities or minor deviations in the bidding.
