Low Bidder is Irving's Concrete The City of Sheffield Lake is accepting bids for and to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder for the purchase of premium no lead gasoline; regular no lead gasoline; premium low sulfur diesel-#304 limestone; #57 limestone; #8 limestone; #1-#2 limestone, asphalt placement for part or all of the 2023 road sections target list and concrete sidewalk installation for part or all of the 2023 sidewalk target list- Council Number 011. Section 2 All aggregate bid prices shall include the cost of the delivery per ton. Fuel bids shall include providing tank(s) and pumping equipment which maintenance is at bidder's expense. Section 3 The 2023 asphalt placement target list shall consist of one or more of the following, in no particular order, based upon priority as determined by the City. o As determined, roads 2" mill, scratch and pave 2" (ODOT 448 or as approved by the City) o Tack coat (ODOT 407) as determined o Asphalt placement/mill is to be submitted in square yard totals o Prevailing wage rates shall apply, estimated square yards as follows 1.Gayle (Erieview to Hawthorne) 3735 SY 2.Knickerbocker (Sheffield to Idlewood) 2440 SY 3.Holl (Sheffield to Idlewood) 2440 SY 4.Sheffield (Belle to Holl) 2450 SY 5.Alameda (Ivanhoe to Ferndale) 1521 SY 6.West Shore (Lake to Hawthorne) 608 SY Section 4 The 2023 sidewalk placement target list shall consist of residential sidewalk placement throughout the city. A specific target list by address is available on request via email phastings lead@gmail.com o Sidewalks shall be four feet wide and 4" thick except when crossing a driveway where 6" is required o Expansion joints shall be placed at regular intervals not more than 30' o Concrete shall be smoothed with a float, and given a broom finish o Concrete shall be 3000 psi or a 5 1/2 SAC mix o A minimum of 4" compacted aggregate base necessary for 6" concrete o Contraction joint spacing for sidewalk shall be 5', sawed or tooled o Excavation shall include soil backfill when forms are removed o Prevailing wage rates shall apply o Concrete installation may be scheduled from April 15 to November 15, 2023 Quotes will be received in unit price per square foot at 4" thickness and unit price per square foot in 6" thickness. The City anticipates awarding a minimum of 14,532 square feet of new concrete sidewalks. The City of Sheffield Lake maintains the right to accept or reject any and all bids.
