The City invites Quotations from experienced and qualified Contractors for the provision of everything required including all skilled labour, tools, materials, equipment to carry out designated work associated with mulching* of newly planted natural areas. The work to be provided is mainly for maintenance purposes but may also include other vegetation maintenance work. Note: mulch provided by the City. The annual work program will be provided by the Urban Forestry Section and the Engineering Environment Section and work will be scheduled in advance. The work must be done in accordance with: British Columbia Landscape and Nursery Association Standards City of Surrey Construction Standard Mulching is the manual application, often by wheelbarrow and plastic garbage cans, of organic mulch material around each plant in recently planted areas. The mulch materials are usually trucked to the site by the Contractor from the Parks Works Yard/Operations Centre or delivered to the site by the City. All inquiries related to this RFQ should be directed in writing to purchasing@surrey.ca.
