Number: AC-STBG-G-1185(009)E AC-STP-OOOA(912)E This project, located in Anne Arundel County, is for the replacement of Small Structure No. 02016X0 on MD 468 (Muddy Creek Road) over Lerch Creek. The existing structure is a combination of three 42" reinforced concrete pipes, a single 14' x 4' reinforced concrete box culvert, and three 54" diameter corrugated metal pipes used to convey Lerch Creek under MD 468 (Muddy Creek Road). The existing structure will be removed and replaced with a 7'-0" x 5'-0" three-sided precast concrete box culvert. The seven (7) sections of three-sided precast concrete box culvert will be placed on a reinforced concrete slab with a deep H-pile foundation. Shallow foundations with a cast-in-place concrete slab will be constructed to support the cast-in-place reinforced concrete headwalls. The proposed Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) during construction will use a system of traffic signals to maintain two-way traffic in one lane. Construction will be done in two-stages, with one 12' (two-way) lane always maintained during construction, and temporary support of excavation installed to support the roadway. Additional work includes installing erosion and sediment control devices, stream diversion pipes, temporary paving, placing Class I riprap, grinding and milling, fulldepth paving and installing traffic barrier w-beam A Pre-Bid Conference will not be held for this contract.
