Site work for a medical facility in Wichita, Kansas. Conceptual plans call for site work for a medical facility.
Post 1 is a facility originally provided by Riverside Hospital. Ownership changed to Ascension Via Christi and now being offered at auction. The attached facility is vacant. No contractual agreement exists with Sedgwick County. This facility houses one crew 24 hours/day, seven days/week, is responsible for the near northwest side of Wichita, and will be in need of replacement. This project has been on the watch list for several years but the need has increased significantly with the uncertain future of the facility and lack of support regarding maintenance. The facility should have two ambulance bays with similar footprint and construction style of EMS Post 15 3537 N Webb Rd. As of September 28, 2023, this project is included in Sedgwick County's FY 2023-2027 CIP. Information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. A firm construction timeline has not been released. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
