Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Wichita, Kansas. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Maintenance work performed by contract on existing bridges. Work can include deck patching, expansion joint replacement, pier cap maintenance or replacement, sand blasting of metal girders, painting, concrete railing repair, guardrail repair or replacement, and other work items that result in extending the useful life of the structure. As of September 27, 2023, this project is included in Sedgwick County's FY 2023-2027 CIP. Information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been determined, construction is not expected to start prior to outside the capital improvement plan. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
