The Town is seeking proposals with regard to tender and construction support for the spillway upgrades at Dares Lake as further specified within this Request for Proposal The scope of work for the spillway upgrades tender and construction support includes the following: o Tender Support Services o Environmental Permitting - The Proponent will prepare a escripdWatercourse Alteration Permit Application on the Town's behalf to Nova Scotia Environment (NSE) and submit at a minimum of 60 business days prior to the start of the work. o The Contractor will be responsible to develop the water control work plan and the erosion and sediment control plan to supplement the NSE permit application. The Proponent will provide general requirements and review both these plans. o Tender Submissions Review - The Town will advertise the Tender and review the submitted bids, and the Proponent will provide support to the Town during the bid review. o Construction Support Services o The Proponent will review the Contractor submittals as per the project specifications. o The Proponent will provide full-time on-site construction inspection. o The Proponent will provide general construction support including (but not limited to) assessing and responding to questions (in the form of Requests for Information or other) from the Contractor, providing Site Instructions relating to the Work, assessing any Claims or Extensions of Time relating to the Work, etc. o The Proponent will review invoices and progress claims for the work and materials. o The Proponent will undertake a final inspection following the Contractor's work completion. Once all items are satisfactory as per the project drawings and specifications, the Proponent will issue a Final Certificate of Completion to the Contractor.
