Renovation of a fire / police facility in Petersburg, Virginia. Working plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

As of April 24,2023,bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid. This procurement is "Small Business Set-Aside Award Priority, however all vendors are encouraged to submit a bid. Work Location: Commonwealth of Virginia, Virginia State Police, 25650 Simpson Road, Petersburg 23803 Contractor shall provide all shop, labor, materials, equipment and supervision sufficient to remove floor covering and cove base from approximately 650 square feet of floor space. Furnish and install approximately 650 square feet of new commercial grade/high impact modular 2x2 carpet and cove base as required. The Contractor is responsible for taking/verifying all measurement at the Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference. Contractor shall be responsible for moving/relocating existing furniture and cabinets to accommodate the work. VSP will be responsible for relocating IT equipment. Contractor shall minimize impact of work on normal day-to-day VSP facility operations through close coordination of the work with 1st. Sergeant. Specifications: Remove and dispose of all existing Carpet and Cove Base from the area to be covered. Dumpsters will not be provided by the Area Office. Furnish and Install approximately 650 square feet of new 2 x 2 commercial grade Nylon modular carpet tiles with the following minimum specifications: Yarn System: 100% non-recycled nylon Construction: Tufted Face weight: 20 ounces Texture: Patterned loop Gauge: 5/64 Pile Weight: 20 oz. Backing: Glass Fibre TARR Rating: 3 Furnish and install approximately 750 feet of four inch cove base throughout the area carpeted in color selected by the First Sergeant. Provide transitions as required. Provide one full box of tile squares to be retained by the customer for future repairs and replacements. Adhesive used in the installation shall be as recommended by manufacturer and be low VOCs to minimize the impact of installation on facility occupants. The successful bidder shall provide samples and color templates to the Area Office 1st. Sergeant for color selection and approval of the carpet grade. The samples must be presented and approved after award but before the contractor orders any materials to be used on the project.
