Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Petersburg, Virginia. Design plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
Summary:The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals with the intent to enter into a contract through competitive negotiations for the professional services of an Architectural/Engineering firm with experience in designing ADA-accessible facilities and addressing code compliance. These projects will address accessibility and code compliance related issues at selected existing facilities by creating clear accessible entrances, replacing adjoining sidewalks and curbs that are spalled, cracked or broken and modifying/adding restrooms to make these buildings fully compliant. The scope of the work also includes addressing stairs or other physical barriers that create an unsafe condition for individuals with mobility or vision impairments. The elevators will be replaced or new elevators will be provided at these buildings. As of June 3, 2024, per owner, a design team has been identified and the project is in the design phase.
