Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Clive, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; water / sewer project; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

This project includes all materials, equipment, transportation and labor needed to construct a neighborhood park (Cirksena Park) in the northwest area of Clive near 3575 Westgate Parkway. This project generally includes site grading, installation of trails, sidewalks, play structures, shade structure, play surfacing, storm sewers, and site landscaping. Specific project location along with the kind and approximate quantity of materials to be used shall be as set forth in the Plans and Specifications Work on the improvements shall commence on or before the late start date of June 23, 2023 and shall be substantially completed by November 22, 2023. Substantial completion will be achieved upon completion of all work described as part of the construction documents except for installation of permanent seeding and plant materials. Liquidated damages for noncompliance with said substantial completion provisions will be assessed at the rate of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) for each calendar day thereafter that the work remains incomplete. Final completion will be achieved upon installation of permanent seeding and plant materials and remaining punch list items and shall be completed by May 31, 2024. Separate performance and payment bonds shall be issued for Alternate "A" (if selected) and all other contract work, so that the performance and payment bond for all other contract work may be released as per the terms and conditions of the contract documents after final completion has been achieved as defined above. The performance and payment bond for the scope of work for Alternate "A" will be released as per the terms of the contract documents after completion of that scope of work. Bid Security. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code and as outlined in the Instruction to Bidders in an amount equal to Ten (10) percent of the total bid amount.
