Disclaimer: IN ORDER FOR YOUR BID TO BE CONSIDERED A LEGAL BONAFIDE BIDDER ON THE PROJECT, DOCUMENTS MUST BE PURCHASED FROM REMINGTON, VERNICK ENGINEERS DIRECTLY Sealed bids will be received by the township of berkeley for the generator at holiday city clubhouse in township of berkeley, ocean county, new jersey. The project involves the demolition of an existing feeder and raceway and construction of a manual transfer switch and docking station at the Holiday City Clubhouse in Berkeley Township located at 631 Jamaica Boulevard, Toms River, New Jersey 08757. Included in the base bid proposal is the installation of a new 225A/3P Branch Breaker in the existing MDP (Siemens) switchboard and all required assembly components and backing for a complete installation located in the basement main electrical room. Bid forms, contracts and specifications are available by contacting remington & vernick engineers. Contact shall be made by phone or by email to make bid purchase arrangements. At 732-286-9220 or by submitting rvebidinterest@rve.Com. No bids are to be picked up at the engineer's office or at the municipality offices. Payment must be received prior to obtaining said specifications. No bids are to be dropped off at the engineer's office. All bids are to be delivered prior to the bid opening date and time. The township of berkeley reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the township of berkeley. Bids must be on the bid form prepared by remington & vernick engineers, in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder on the outside and also bearing on the outside reference to the particular work bid upon. Said bids shall be addressed to mr. John camera, administrator, 627 pinewald-keswick road, bayville, nj 08721. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the township of berkeley in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 of the amount bid. Any such bid bond shall be without endorsement or conditions. Bid shall also be accompanied by a certificate letter from a surety company stating that it will provide the bidder with the completion bond. The award of the contract shall be made subject to the necessary moneys to do the work being provided by the township of berkeley in a lawful manner. The contract to be executed by the successful bidder will provide that it shall not become effective until the necessary moneys to do the work have been provided by the township of berkeley in a lawful manner. The award shall further be subjected to the securing of necessary state, federal or local permits governing the work. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of n.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., n.J.A.C. 17:27 (affirmative action), n.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq.(new jersey prevailing wage act), and americans with disabilities act of 1990 (42 u.S.C. S12101, et seq.). The contractor is further notified that he must comply with n.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2, and submit a disclosure statement listing stockholders with his bid. The contractor is further notified that he must comply with n.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. Public works contractor registration act and he and any subcontractors must be registered in accordance with the act. The contractor is also further notified that he must comply with n.J.S.A. 52:32-44 and submit proof of business registration and submit proof of business registration for any named subcontractors in accordance with the act. Base Bid 1. Mobilization/Demobilization - Item shall include preparatory work and operations, including moving personnel, equipment, supplies, and incidentals to the Project Limits. It also includes all other work performed and costs incurred before beginning work on various Items in the Contract. Mobilization shall occur in accordance with Section 01505. 2. Demolition - Item shall include the demolition, relocation, and alteration of electrical construction required within the project limits as shown on the construction plans and details in accordance with Section - 260450 Electrical Demolition & Renovation and the most recent NEC specifications as well as State and Local Codes. 3. Raceways and Boxes - Item shall include the construction of raceways, fittings, boxes, enclosures, and cabinets for electrical wiring required within the project limits as shown on the plans and details in accordance with Section 260533 - Raceways & Boxes and the most recent NEC specifications as well as State and Local Codes. 4. Conductors and Cables - Item shall include the building wires and cables and associated connectors, splices, and terminations for wiring systems rated 600 V and less required within the project limits as shown on the plans and details in accordance with Section 260519 - Conductors and Cables and the most recent NEC specifications as well as State and Local Codes. 5. Electrical Hangars and Supports/Identification - Item shall include the construction of hangers and supports for electrical equipment and systems as well as the construction requirements for concrete bases required within the project limits as shown on the plans and details in accordance with Section 260529 - Hangers and Supports for Electrical Systems and the most recent NEC specifications as well as State and Local Codes. 6. Enclosed Switches and Circuit Breakers - Item shall include the construction of individually mounted enclosed switches and circuit breakers used for service disconnecting means, feeder and branch-circuit protection, and motor and equipment disconnecting means required within the project limits as shown on the plans and details in accordance Section 262816 - Enclosed Switches and Circuit Breakers and the most recent NEC specifications as well as State and Local Codes. 7. Manual Transfer Switch and Docking Station - Item shall include the construction of Generator Docking Station with a Manual Transfer Switch required within the project limits as shown on the plans and details in accordance with Section 263650 - Manual Transfer Switch and Generator Docking Station and the most recent NEC specifications as well as State and Local Codes. 8. Closeout Procedures and As-Builts - Item shall include all work and operations included in the closeout of the construction of the project including as built surveys and reviews and any associated costs. All work shall be in accordance with Section 01710 - Cleaning and Restorations.
