Mohawk River Park Court Coating and Lining Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check in the sum of five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, drawn upon a National or State Bank or Trust Company, to the order of the Town of Colonie, New York, or a bond with sufficient sureties in a penal sum equal to five percent (5%) of the bid, conditioned that if his bid is accepted, successful bidder will enter into a contract for the same and that he will execute such further security as may be required for the performance of the contract. The bidder to whom the contract may be awarded shall within seven (7) days after the date of notification of the acceptance of his bid, provide insurance and security as required by the Contract in a form acceptable by the Owner. In case of his failure to do so, or in case of his failure to give further security as herein prescribed, the bidder will be considered as having abandoned the same, and the certified check or other bid security accompanying his bid shall be forfeited to the Town The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirement that the Town of Colonie requires that contracts exceeding $750,000 have an apprenticeship program in place. The Town Board of the Town of Colonie reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids submitted.
