Walcott Adams Verneuille Architects, Inc., on behalf of the Owner, the City of Gulf Shores Schools, requests applications for pre-qualification of General Contractors All questions concerning the project during bidding shall be submitted in writing via email: Melissa (melissa@wavarchitects.com). The project generally consists of interior renovations to classrooms and hallways for the Gulf Shores Elementary School in buildings 200 & 300. No exterior project work is planned. Project interior includes new furring gypsum board walls, new ACT ceilings and grid, LVT, painting, and coordination with doors/frames/hardware/glazing and millwork subcontractors. Minimal mechanical, plumbing and electrical work is included. Work must be completed during the school system's summer break. Interested contractors shall be licensed to work in the state of Alabama and be able to demonstrate experience in projects of similar size and scope. Sealed bids will be received only from previously PRE-QUALIFIED bidders. No bids will be considered unless the bidder, whether resident or non-resident of Alabama, is properly qualified to submit a proposal for this construction. This shall include, among other qualifications, evidence of holding a current and appropriate license from the State Licensing Board for General Contractors, Montgomery, Alabama. Evidence of license must be shown before bidding or bid will not be received or considered by the Architect; the bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying his or her current license number on the outside of the sealed enveloped in which the proposal is delivered.
