Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Demolition of the existing entrance canopy and surrounding concrete paving. The new facility will consist of abuilding addition attached to the north side of the existing high school. Vertical and flat-work concrete, masonry, structural steel, openings, finishes, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and site utility work are included in the Project. Each bid shall be made on a form furnished by the Architect and must be accompanied by a certified check or cashier's check drawn on an Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the Laws of the United States, or a Bid Bond to be executed by a corporation authorized to contract as a surety in the State of Iowa, in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the base bid, made payable to the Treasurer of the Humboldt Community School District. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum, issued by a responsible Surety approved by the Board of Education and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the Contract and terms and conditions therein contained and the maintenance of said improvements pursuant to the provisions of the Contract Document The Project is anticipated to start on June 5, 2023, following the Owner's receipt and approval of the required insurance and bonds. The Project shall achieve Substantial Completion on or before February 30, 2024. The Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids and waive informalities in Bidding. Bidders may seek clarifications on the Bid Documents and submit product substitution requests until 12:00 P.M. on April 5, 2023
