Site work and paving for a road / highway in Vacaville, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The general description of work includes: Cold planing existing asphalt concrete and plug paving areas of various sizes as tabulated in the plans, and the replacement of the existing striping. The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to determine which proposal is in its judgment the lowest responsive bid of a responsible bidder and which proposal should be accepted in the best interest of the city. The city also reserves the right to waive any irregularities in any proposal or bid. Proposals in which the prices are obviously unbalanced may be rejected. Pursuant to section 1773 of the labor code of the state of california the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work in the locality in which the public work is to be performed have been determined by the director of the california department of industrial relations. These wage rates are available upon request at the city of vacaville public works department and are listed on the california department of industrial relations. The successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract amount within ten calendar days from receipt of the notice of award letter. The contractor shall possess a class A license at the time a bid is submitted for this project.
