The Contractor has examined the proposal, permits, plans, and understands the location of the work may be anywhere in Tuscola County and may include work on state highways described here in and is fully informed as to the nature of the work and the conditions relating to its performance. The Contractor shall have a current (N9-6L) prequalification with the Michigan Department of Transportation This work shall be at various locations throughout Tuscola County or state highways under the maintenance jurisdiction of the Tuscola County Road Commission. Changes in quantities will not change unit prices as bid. Some projects are to be constructed in coordination with work by other Contractors or Tuscola County Maintenance Crews All projects listed shall be completed within 30 days of the request date unless agreed upon with the Engineer. Liquidated damages will be charges at $100.00 per day per project, starting 31 days after contractor notification at the discretion of the Engineer The Contractor hereby proposes to furnish all the necessary materials, labor and equipment needed to place the bid items throughout Tuscola County or state highways under the maintenance jurisdiction of the Tuscola County Road Commission. The locations needing guardrail installed will be provided on an as-need basis by the Engineer for the current year. All construction shall be completed as per section 807 of the 2020 Standard Specifications for Construction, and in accordance with Standard Plans and Special Details below Materials:

The Contractor is responsible for contacting Miss Dig 72 hours prior to start of work. The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to re-advertise or to accept the proposal, that in their opinion, is in the best interest of Tuscola County.
