This Sources Sought/Market Survey Notice is being conducted by the Network 10 Contracting office on behalf of the John D Dingell VA Medical Center (Detroit VAMC) located at 4646 John R ST, Detroit, MI 48201. The purpose is to identify sources that are capable of providing window cleaning services (NAICS code 561720; Size standard $22 Million) for the entire VA Medical Center campus. Contractor must have at experience providing window cleaning service for 24 of the previous 36 months and experience regularly engaging in the business of providing commercial Highrise and atrium cleaning services. Contractors that can provide this requirement and are interested are requested to send:
1. Company Name
2. Unique Entity ID
3. Business size under NAICS 561720
4. If the service(s) are available on an FSS contract or not and the FSS contract number if it is available on contract.
5. Notification if they have Veteran Small Business Certification or not. Contractors must be registered and certified in VETCERT to be considered VOSB/SDVOSB. Veteran Small Business Certification (sba.gov)
6. Provide capability statement to include experience providing courier service. This is not a solicitation. This is a Request for Information, Sources Sought. The campus building has 3 sections; Blue, Yellow and Red.
o The Blue section has 7 stories of windows
o The Yellow section has five (5) stories of windows
o The Red section has five (5) stories of windows
o Between the three sections, there are approximately 556 exterior windows and 1 atrium skylight approximately 300 ft. x 50 ft. which require professional cleaning.
Each section of the building has five (5) stories of interior atrium windows.
o The first-floor entrances/exits included are the Emergency Department entrance/exit doors and windows
o Blue building main entrance/exit and breezeway
o Blue garage has five (5) stories with rounded glass and glass doors on each level
o Yellow section main entrance/exit has five (5) doors on the exterior wall and a full glass interior wall
o The section includes three separate entrances/exits to the exterior of the building and an internal glass wall.
o The Red garage has 5 stories of curved glass with glass doors on each level
Atrium cleaning will include:
o Cleaning the glass block chapel from top to bottom for the interior and exterior
o Cleaning of the wooden roof chapel to include polishing.
o Glass roof over the Starbucks building in the atrium
o Glass block surrounding the canteen store and glass block and glass in the bank and Starbucks building.
o Dusting and cleaning the three (3) other interior roof tops, and atrium catwalks, leaving everything free of dust, dirt, and debris. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
