The purpose of this solicitation is to establish an agency specific term contract to furnish and deliver Various Aggregate Products to the Department of Transportation, Sampson County Maintenance on an as needed basis. The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) uses approved aggregate materials throughout the state to complete construction of roads, bridges and other surface and weather-related projects. Bids shall be submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions of this IFB and any addenda issued hereto. The Contract shall have an initial term of one (1) year, beginning on the date of final Contract execution (the "Effective Date"). At the end of the Contract's current term, the State shall have the option, in its sole discretion, to renew the Contract on the same terms and conditions for up to a total of two (2) additional one (1) year terms. The State will give the Vendor written notice of its intent whether to exercise the option no later than Thirty (30) days before the end of the Contract's then-current term. In addition, and with the Vendors concurrence, the State reserves the right to extend a contract term after the last active term with prior approval from the Department of Administration - Purchase and Contract.
