Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Bellevue, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Work contemplated to be performed under this contract is as follows: 1. Installation of a 9-foot wide by 4-foot tall precast concrete storm box conveyance trunk and associated excavation, shoring, dewatering, stormwater bypass, catch basins, inlets, access manholes, lateral piping, foundation layer, bedding, and backfilling. 2. Installation of a 12- inch, 18-inch diameter, and 24-inch diameter ductile iron storm pipe; 8-inch, 12-inch, and 18- inch PVC drain pipe; and 12-inch, 24-inch, and 42-inch concrete drain pipe and associated excavation, shoring, dewatering, stormwater bypass, catch basins, inlets, access manholes, lateral piping, foundation layer, bedding, and backfilling. 3. One vault and one large diameter manhole on west side of Factoria Boulevard SE at upstream end of new storm drain crossings to be installed. 4. Inlets and catch basins along gutter line of Factoria Boulevard SE. 5. Installation of new earthquake-resistant ductile iron pipe water main and associated services and fire hydrantwork including replacement of an existing 12-inch diameter water main with a 16-inch diameter water main along the east side of Factoria Boulevard SE and replacement of an existing water crossing across Factoria Boulevard SE with a new 8-inch diameter crossing. 6. Sanitary side sewer work and sanitary sewer main lining between two existing manholes. 7. Roadway pavement, concrete curb/gutter, center median, driveway, sidewalk and pedestrian ramp restoration along Factoria Boulevard where storm drain work is to occur. 8. Placement of new roadway channelization items and markings. 9. Installation of temporary and permanent street lighting and traffic signal systems. 10. Stream restoration work and outfall improvements within the existing open channel east of Factoria Boulevard SE including major channel re-grading, placement of stream bed aggregates and boulders, placement of large woody material, placement of vegetated rock walls, and concrete wingwalls at improved stormwater outfall. 11. Installation of landscaping and drip and spray irrigation system along the east side of Factoria Boulevard SE and within the center median where storm drain work is to occur. 12. Installation of plant materials and temporary irrigation system at stream restoration area for plant establishment. BID BOND REQUIRED: Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the form of cash, certified check, cashier's check or surety bond in an amount equal to at least 5% of the amount of such bid. Checks shall be made payable to the City Treasurer. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into a contract and furnish a satisfactory performance and payment bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid bond shall be forfeited to the City of Bellevue. The City of Bellevue reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive irregularities and informalities in the bidding process. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date and time set for the opening thereof.
