The purpose of this Request for Qualifications is to obtain from interested contractors their applications for prequalification so that the City of Richmond may establish a list of contractors prequalified to submit proposals to act as Construction Manager at Risk on the Citys T.B. Smith Community Center Project . . Substantial Completion - Phase 1 - 12/15/24 Final Completion - Phase 2 - 05/31/25 Notice to Proceed/Mobilization - 07/03/23 The purpose of this Request for Qualifications is to obtain from interested contractors (each an "Applicant") their applications for prequalification ("Qualification Statements") so that the City of Richmond ("the City") may establish a list of contractors prequalified to submit proposals to act as Construction Manager at Risk on the City's T.B. Smith Community Center Project (the "Project"). The overall summary scope of work for construction of the Project consists of the construction of a 30,000 sq. ft. Community Center. The community center will be 2 stories tall, with a max height of 40 ft. The building will feature an indoor gymnasium with high school regulation size basketball court, teen/youth center, multi-purpose, expandable, spaces, general office spaces and other support spaces. TB SMITH COMMUNITY CENTER IS A NEWLY CONSTRUCTED 21,700 SF BUILDING OFF RUFFIN ROAD IN RICHMONDS SOUTHSIDE. THE COMMUNITY CENTER WILL ALSO SERVE AS AN EMERGENCY RESPONSE BUILDING, WITH BACKUP GENERATOR POWER AND FLEXIBILITY FOR THE COMMUNITY IT SERVES. THE BUILDING IS TWO STORIES AND STANDS 28 TALL. THE INTERIOR WILL FEATURE FLEXIBLE SPACES, AN INDOOR PLAYGROUND, MULTI-PURPOSE GYM WITH A SECOND LEVEL MEZZANINE TRACK, ADMIN OFFICES, HEALTH CENTER, MIXED MEDIA CENTER, TEEN SPACE, RESIDENTIAL KITCHEN, UTILITY, AND STORAGE. THE SITE WILL FEATURE A NATURE TRAIL, PLAYGROUNDS, SPLASH PAD, BASKETBALL COURT, LANDSCAPING, COMMUNITY GARDEN, SHADE STRUCTURES, PARKING LOT, AND A LARGE MULTIPURPOSE SPORTS FIELD.
