The tank is approximately 93.5 feet in diameter by 40 feet high, providing a nominal capacity of 2.0 million gallons. It is one of two tanks on the site and it is the tank closest to the access road. The structure has a name plate in place. The tank shell has four (4) courses connected to a pitched roof. The roof plates are supported internally by a structure consisting of column and beam rafters. The beams rest on welded shell clips and a center column cone. The tank has one roof center roof vent, and multiple shell manways, including a flush clean-out. The tank rests on a concrete ring wall with anchoring. The tank has rigid pipe connections. The overflow has a weir, pipe, and screened air-gap. There is a non-functioning impressed current internal cathodic protection (CP) system installed, but no external CP system is in place. The lining must be tested by the Contractor and if the coatings are found to be hazardous, Contractor must handle and dispose of in accordance with California Code of Regulations, Title 8, Construction Safety Order No. 1532.1 (CFR 1926.61), and California Administrative and Health code, Title 22.
