Anticipated total cost of the project's three contracts is to be over $100,000. This is a public recreation facility and funding assistance is being provided from PA DCNR's Community Conservation Partnerships Program. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified or Bank Check; or Bid Bond naming as payee or obligee, as applicable, the Penn Township Supervisors, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid as security for proper execution of the Agreement and submitting other documents as required by the bidding documents. The Successful Bidder on this work will be required to comply with all provisions of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor and Industry, Prevailing Wage Act and the Wage Predetermined Schedule made a part of the project specifications. The Successful Bidder will be required to execute an AIA A105 & A205, Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner and Contractor, and General Conditions of the Contract for Construction-1993 Small Projects Editions; and furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each of said bonds to be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, a one-year Maintenance Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Contract Price, and shall be executed by such sureties as are named in the current list of "Companies Holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds and as Acceptable Reinsuring Companies" as published in Circular 570 (amended) by the Audit Staff, Bureau of Government Financial Operations, U.S. Treasury Department and shall be acceptable to the Penn Township Supervisors. All bonds signed by an agent must be accompanied by a certified copy of such agent's authority to act. The Contractor also will be required to furnish evidence of insurance coverage as required by the bidding documents and fill out a public works verification form. The Penn Township Supervisors reserve the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof or items therein, to waive any defects or irregularities in the Bids, and to accept any Bid which, in its judgment, is for its best interest.
