The bids will be opened on April 11,2023 and will be awarded on April 25,2023. The project is located on Road D between Road 15 and Road 16 in Colfax County, Nebraska. The project is referred to as "Schuyler East, C-!9(555)" and shall include all labor, materials, transportation and equipment required for the construction of a three span 128'-0 " IT-700 concrete girder bridge on a 0 skew with a 28 ft. clear roadway. Copies ofthe Bid Documents and Specifications are open to public inspection at the office of the Colfax County Highway Superintendent, 466 Road 10, Schuyler, Nebraska 68661. All BidProposals must be submitted on the forms furnished with the Bid Documents. The sealed bids may be mailed or delivered to the County Clerk ofColfax County, Colfax County Courthouse, 411 E 11th Street, Schuyler, Nebraska 68661, and should be plainly marked as, "Construction Bid Proposal - Schuyler East, 0-19(555)". Also, each bidder is to provide a Start of Construction date and an End of Construction date with their Bid Proposal. The successful bidder (i.e. Contractor) will be allowed one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days for completion after beginning work at the site, provided they do not exceed their specified completion date. Additional days due to weather may be granted at the discretion ofthe Engineer Within ten (10) days following the award ofthe Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish a surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to or greater than the full amount ofthe contract. The surety and form ofthe bonds are subject to the acceptance by the Colfax County Board ofCommissioners.
