Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Bidding and Contract Documents. Each bid must also be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of a Certified Check of the Bidder, Bid Bond, or Bank Check in the amount of 10% the Bid Price. Copies of the proposed contract documents, plans and specifications may be examined at the office of the Engineer, 4295 South Buffalo Street, Orchard Park, New York. Any and all such interpretations and any supplemental instructions will be in the form of written Addenda to the Specifications, which, if issued, will be emailed/taxed with return acknowledgment requested to all prospective Bidders (at the respective addresses furnished for such purposes), not laterthan three (3) days priorto the date fixed for the opening of Bids. Failure of any Bidder to receive any such Addendum or interpretation shall not relieve such bidder from any obligation under his/her bid as submitted. All Addenda so issued, shall become part of the Contract Documents The Contract drawings and Specifications show work to be completed under this contract which shall include, but not limited to, the following items: NYS DOT Standard Specifications (Latest Issue) shall be considered integral parts of the Contract Documents. Where specifications differ, the more stringent shall apply at the discretion of the Town Engineer. o Dismantling, removal, and disposal of welded steel water tank and concrete foundation (complete). o Dismantling, removal, and disposal of underground backflow preventer and vault (complete). o Cut, cap, and abandonment of two (2) 12" waterlines from the tank, approximately 370-feetfrom road. o Complete restoration of any disturbed site areas including backfilling of vault, tank, and foundation areas with clean fill and 4-inches of screened topsoil, hydroseed and mulch.
