Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Guerneville, California. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

This is primarily a labor agreement to perform trail maintenance and repairs at Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve and Austin Creek State Recreation Area located in western Sonoma County in the town of Guerneville. Work to be performed at the direction of the Park Maintenance Chief in conjunction with state park staff. Work shall include trail tread improvement, construction and decommission of trails, drainage maintenance, and vegetation management. Under State direction and supervision trail stairs, retaining walls, and foot bridges will be installed in conjunction with park staff. The scope of the project includes minor grading (tread maintenance using hand tools) along approximately 24,000 LF of existing frail alignment, minor grading (tread maintenance using light equipment) along 5,420 LF of existing trail alignment, the removal (decommissioning) of approximately 3,000 LF of existing trail, and new trail re-routes of approximately 6,020 LF. Additional improvements within existing trail include installation of rock armored drainage crossings (2), puncheon construction (1), construction of a bridge (1) to replace an existing failing puncheon, and a wood retaining wall (241 x 3') associated with the bridge. Re-routed sections of trail will be full bench construction. New trail construction will include the removal of small trees and the installation of several small rock retaining walls (approx. 75 cu.ft.)
