Portland State University ("PSU") is accepting electronic bids for the Shattuck Hall (SH) Facade Repair ("Project"). The Scope of Work ("Work") for the project is primarily the cleaning and repair of the exterior brick facade of the SH building and the adjacent Annex building. In general, all areas of the facade require the following: removal of organic materials such as moss and plant growth, cleaning and sealing of bricks, repair of deteriorated mortar, resurfacing of weathered concrete base areas, repair of water-damaged brick, and restoration of weatherproofing, as well as cleaning and removal of efflorescence at limited locations. Following cleaning and repairs, brick masonry, terra cotta, concrete surfaces, and mortar materials are to be finish-coated with weather sealants and clear anti-graffiti coatings. Minor modifications will be needed for roof drains, ornamental metal guardrails, and entry canopies for improved rainwater handling. The bid is to include all the labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the following Scopes of Work as outlined below and contained within the attached design documents and specifications. -Cleaning and restoration of exterior brick masonry and concrete facade elements.
