Remove and dispose of existing doors. The existing doors and door mounted hardware are to be removed in their entirety by removing the door hinges from the door frames, leaving the existing jams in place. Remove the existing door closers and thresholds. Old door hardware, closers and thresholds shall be left with a City of Torrance Representative. . All new doors will be aluminum storefront and are to receive new exit devices, closers, thresholds, gaskets, sweeps and hinges on all doors. The Bid must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or a surety bond (bid bond) payable to the City of Torrance. Bids must be submitted on the proposal forms furnished by the City Clerk's office. The Bid Guaranty shall be in an amount equivalent to at least 10% of the Total Contract Bid Price. The City reserves the right to revise or amend these specifications prior to the date set for opening bids.
