Bids Neoga Community Unit School District #3, Neoga, Illinois will receive bids for the project captioned below. The project consists of renovating the Jr/Sr. High School science labs, media center, restrooms, and corridors. This work includes masonry & stud walls, flooring, painting, ceilings, casework, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical. This project also includes exterior improvements to the Elementary School. This work includes tearing off approximately 49,200 square feet of an existing EPDM roof system to the deck below, and replacing with new fully adhered EPDM roofing system over cover board, over insulation. Additionally, the precast wall panels will be repainted, sealant will be replaced, and metal wall panels will be added. Prevailing wages in accordance with Cumberland County is required. Bid security is required, in the form of a bid bond or certified check in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid as guarantee that the bid will not be withdrawn within 30 days after the date of opening of bids, and that the successful bidder will enter into a Contract for the work awarded to them. Bid security shall be made payable to Neoga CUSD #3. Bonds are required: Both a Performance Bond and a Labor and Payment Bond are required for this project, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Your Bid will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of 30 days after submission. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids or any part thereof, to waive any informality in bidding, and to accept bids deemed most favorable to the owner. Award of a contract is anticipated to occur at the April 2023 meeting of the Board of Education. Begin construction on Monday, May 22, 2023. The Work shall be Substantially Complete on or before September 29, 2023.
