Renovation of a mixed-use development in North East, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and swimming pool.
The North East School District will receive bids for the Pool Ceiling and Wall Repair Project at the North East Elementary Center. It is the intent of the Owner to enter into a single contract for installation. Contractor shall submit a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total contract price along with the submittal of the bid. A performance bond, in the amount of 100% of the contract price, must be submitted within 5 working days from award of contract. (Sections 756 and 757 of the PublicSchool Code of 1949, as amended, and the Public Works Contractors Bond Law of 1967). Pennsylvania prevailing wage rates does apply to this project. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The School District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any technical defects and/or form and to award a contract in which the best interests of the School District is served regardless of price.
