Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Elkader, Iowa. Completed plans call for the addition of a 5,200-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility; for the demolition of a pre-engineered storage facility; for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility; and for the renovation of a 14,000-square-foot service station / car wash facility.

The proposed project consists of an addition to and minor renovations of the existing Secondary Roads maintenance building. The project is an approximately 5,200 square foot addition consisting of a preengineered metal building including select demolition, cast in place concrete, prefinished metal wall and roof panels, building insulation, hollow metal doors and frames, sectional overhead doors, cast in place concrete, overhead crane, mechanical and electrical systems. Renovations to the existing approximately 14,000 square foot building consist of the replacement interior hollow metal doors and frames, door hardware, plumbing and select mechanical systems, all new LED lighting replacement, and main electrical service replacement. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, cashier's check or credit union certified share draft, in a separate sealed envelope in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. If bid bond is submitted, it must be on an approved AIA bid bond form. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Contractor's Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bond on an approved AIA form in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. One lump sum contract will be awarded at the appointed time and place.
