The Public Improvement, upon which bids are requested, generally consists of the following work to the existing elevated water storage tank located at 910 2nd Street in Fairfax, Iowa: Abrasive blast cleaning and painting of the exterior, wet interior, dry interior, and foundation; replacement of the transition cone manway gasket, condensate drain line, wet interior ladder rungs, roof vent screens, light fixture in the dry interior, and all light bulbs in the dry interior and aviation lights; installation of a roof painter’s railing, handholds at the roof hatches/painter’s hatch, cathodic clips and pressure fitting, rigging lug on the transition cone, and a gasket on the wet interior roof hatch and painter’s hatch; and modification of the overflow discharge. The 2023 Elevated Water Storage Tank Painting, Maintenance, & Repairs project shall include all labor, tools, equipment, and materials necessary to complete the Contract as indicated and as specified.
