Per the owner, bid results will not be made available until after the award is announced. No time-frame is available for when this project will be awarded** The project includes providing all construction supervision, labor, materials, tools, test equipment necessary for the Veterans Park Dam Removal and Streambank Stabilization Project If the Bid is $50,000 or greater, Bid shall be accompanied by a certified / cashier's check or Bid bond payable to the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government in an amount not less than Five Percent (5%) of the base Bid. Bid Bond shall be executed by a Surety Company authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and countersigned by a licensed Kentucky Resident Agent, representing the Surety Company. Bid Bonds are not required for Bids under $50,000. A certified check or cashier's check is also acceptable forms of Bid security. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the closing date for receipt of Bids. Errors and omissions will not be cause for withdrawal of Bid without forfeit of Bid Bond. Bids may be withdrawn in person prior to the closing date of receipt of Bids The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government has set a goal that not less than ten percent (10%) of the total value of this Contract be subcontracted to Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, which is made up of MBEs and WBEs. The goal for the utilization of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises as subcontractors is a recommended goal. Contractor(s) who fail to meet such goal will be expected to provide written explanations to the Director of the Division of Purchasing of efforts they have made to accomplish the recommended goal, and the extent to which they are successful in accomplishing the recommended goal will be a consideration in the procurement process. Depending on the funding source, other DBE goals may apply. Question Deadline 11/21/2024 at 4:00 PM ET Questions must be submitted via Ion Wave No interpretation of the meaning of the Contract Documents will be made to any Bidder orally. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing addressed to the Director of Central Purchasing, who in turn will have an Addendum issued for the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, and to be given consideration must be received prior to the date fixed for the opening of Bids. As affirmed in Resolution Number 272-2024, the Urban County Council has adopted an annual aspirational goal of utilizing at least seventeen percent (17%) of public funds spend from certain discretionary agreements with certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) and certified Woman Business Enterprises (WBEs); utilizing at least three percent (3%) of public funds from certain discretionary agreements with Certified Veteran-Owned Small Business and Certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSBs); and utilizing Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) where applicable. Bidders should make every effort to achieve these goals.
