Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Wilmington, Delaware. Completed plans call for the construction of a 33,700-square-foot fire / police facility; for site work for a fire / police facility; 15,300-square-foot warehouse / distribution facility; and warehouse / distribution facility.

The Project involves the following: Bid Pack 2 - New Barracks and Maintenance Building - The Project consists of the construction of 33,700 sq. ft. barracks building, and a 15,300 sq. ft. vehicle maintenance building. The barracks shall be a conventionally steel framed buildings consisting of a public lobby, community room, secured holding and processing area, troop support areas and evidence storage and process space. The vehicle maintenance building shall be a pre-engineered metal building consisting of tactical vehicle bays, vehicle maintenance bays, a vehicle wash bay, and evidence storage bays. Both buildings will be fully sprinklered and of type 2b non-combustible construction. Bid Pack 2 work will be constructed under a single prime contract. A future bid package for this project (Bid Pack 3) will involve Sitework and will also be constructed under a single prime contract. There is no Construction Manager (CM) on this project. There will be coordination required between the Bid Pack 2 General Contractor (GC) and the Bid Pack 3 General Contractor throughout the construction of these respective contracts. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security equivalent to ten percent of the bid amount and all additive alternates. The successful bidder must post a performance bond and payment bond in a sum equal to 100 percent of the contract price upon execution of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities therein. The Owner may extend the time and place for the opening of the bids from that described in the advertisement, with not less than two calendar days notice by certified delivery, facsimile machine or other electronic means to those bidders receiving plans.
