The Borough of Conneautville, in Crawford County, PA, is seeking proposal from qualified engineering firms to assist with the implementation of improvements to a local stormwater management system funded by the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. Conneautville Borough has received funding to make improvements to the existing stormwater management system along Washington and Mulberry Streets. The system, which is undersized at this location for the current needs of the community, will be improved through the replacement of 260 feet of the existing 18" pipe along Washington Street with 20" pipe. Along Mulberry Street, 525 feet of 24" pipe will be replaced with 32" pipe. 94 feet of 24' pipe along the railroad track beginning at the end of Mulberry Street to the outlet at Conneaut Creek will be replaced with 32" pipe. The improvements will include new locations for catch basins and erosion and sedimentation control measures at the outflow. Any necessary repaving at the street level will also be completed. Eligible firms will be required to assist with project development including but not limited to: establish cost estimates and project timelines, provide design and engineering services, obtaining any necessary permitting, assist with construction procurement, and provide inspection during construction and on completed projects. The Borough is a non-entitlement community included under Crawford County's administration of its CDBG Program. Therefore, the selected firm will be expected to coordinate with both Conneautville Borough and the Crawford County Planning Office. Firms that can demonstrate experience with stormwater management or similar infrastructure projects are encouraged to submit proposals. Please note: In order to meet grant funding deadlines required by the project, the successful firm must demonstrate the ability to develop the full set of construction and bid documents by June 30, 2023.
