The works includes the furnishing of all labor, material, and equipment necessary or required to complete all work set forth in the specifications which are on file with the City of Plainfield, Purchasing Division, 515 Watchung Avenue, Plainfield, NJ 07060. Bids must be submitted on the Standard Bid Proposal Forms in a manner designated in the contract documents and must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the work on the outside, addressed to Cynthia Blake, Purchasing Agent, City of Plainfield, Division of Purchasing, 515 Watchung Avenue, Plainfield, NJ 07060 and delivered to the Office of the City Clerk before said bids are read aloud on the date and time prescribed above. Bid Proposals must be accompanied by all items identified in the Contract Documents including, but not limited to, a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company holding a Certificate of Authorization to do business in the State of New Jersey and a bid guarantee (Proposal Security) for not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid amount except that the guarantee need not exceed $20,000.00 Prospective bidders are hereby notified that an original, two (2) copies and one CD of the entire bid package must be submitted to the City. The City of Plainfield reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the City of Plainfield, in accordance with applicable law.
