Renovation of a municipal facility in Kekaha, Hawaii. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Director of Finance reserves the right to cancel this Invitation for Bid or to reject any or all bids in whole or in part if deemed to be in the best interest of the County. All prospective bidders shall have a Hawai'i State Contractor's License Type "A" or "B" or "C-17" with appropriate subs PRIOR to submittal of bids Cell 2 Gas Header Installation at thee Kekaha Municipal Solid Waste Landfill, for the Department of Public Works, County of Kauai. Solid Waste Programs Coordinator Keola Aki discussed bid items and requirements along with an overview of the agenda. Geosyntec's Aklilu Tesfamichael discussed the current project including the requirement to carefully expose the 12 inch existing diameter pipe, and noting the current low levels at the landfill which will befilled by the County. Geosyntec also discussed possible addendums to the project including adding two stub-outs and substituting the 8 inch header pipe for a 12 inch pipe.
