SCOPE OF WORK: The projects base bid consists of furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and appurtenances required to remove and install a permanent motor control center (MCC), and appurtenant items The project site is located at the existing Paua Valley Well site off Kokee Road. Performance and Payment Bonds: If the contract which is awarded exceeds $25,000 and isfor construction, performance and payment bonds shall each be in an amount equal to one hundred per cent of the amount of the contract price. It is also understood and agreed that the liquidated damages in the amount of FIVE HUNDRED AND00/100 ($500.00) for each and every calendar day in excess thereof prior to completion of the contract beyond the specified and approved completion date, shall be withheld from payments due to the Contractor, pursuant to the Damages for Delay provision contained in this solicitation. The Manager and Chief Engineer also reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part, if deemed to be in the best interest of the Department of Water. Cancellation of the Solicitation and Offer Rejection: The Department reserves the right to cancel this solicitation and to reject any and all offers in whole or in part, and waive any defects, when it is determined to be in the best interest of the Department, pursuant to HAR3-122-96 and 3-122-97.
