The project generally consists of replacement of the existing Air-Cooled Chiller for the B.R. Hester Complex. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the largest possible total for the bid submitted as a guaranty of completion of the forms provided by the City within 10 days after notice of award. Bid sureties will be returned to all but the three lowest acceptable bidders within 24 hours after execution of the contract. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, upon forms furnished by the City, each in the amount of 100 percent of the total contract price, from a surety company acceptable to the City. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all technicalities and accept any bid from the lowest responsible bidder. In case of ambiguity or lack of clarity in stating the prices in the bids, the City reserves the right to consider the most advantageous construction thereof, or to reject the bids. Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, replacing existing aircooled chiller with new, modification of existing associated piping to accommodate installation of new air-cooled chillers, modification of existing fencing to enclose new air-cooled chillers, replacement of existing exterior concrete pad with new to accommodate new air-cooled chillers and fenced enclosure, modification of DDC system to accommodate new air-cooled chillers, and modification of existing electrical to accommodate all workand all other Work required in accordance with the Contract Documents. C. The Work is located at the BR Hester Complex 100 Parkview Drive, Clute, Texas 77531. D. The Project includes constructing the Work broadly described below, in accordance with the Contract Documents, with all related appurtenances. Work shown on the Drawings, or indicated in the Specifications, or indicated elsewhere in the Contract Documents is part of the Work, regardless of whether indicated below.
