Site work and paving for a road / highway in Portage, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The work consists of the preparation and chip & fog sealing of major and local streets in the City of Portage. Please note the following: 1.1. The City of Portage will crack seal all listed streets prior to chip sealing. 1.2. The City of Portage will sweep all listed streets prior to chip sealing. 1.3. The contractor will prepare all street surfaces prior to chip sealing. 1.4. The contractor will chip seal all listed streets with CST 1/4 trap rock 1.5. The contractor will roll the chip sealed streets with a pneumatic rubber tire roller (similar in size to the Hamm 180i-15) and be equipped with additional 12 wide roller attachment (similar to the Handy Hitch or Walk n Roll) 1.6. The contractor will sweep up excess chip stones upon completion. 1.7. The contractor will fog seal the listed streets after chip sealing. 1.8. The City of Portage will be responsible for line stripping and specialty markings. Questions and requests for clarification related to definition or interpretation of this RFB shall be submitted in writing prior to 5:00 p.m. local time on April 26, 2023 by email to: Victoria Barboza, Purchasing Manager purchasing@portagemi.gov Reference Number 0000316298 The City of Portage invites interested Contractors to submit a sealed bid for a one time contract for the provision of street chip & fog sealing to be completed on Thursday, September 15, 2023.
