Bid Evaluation Meeting: Thursday, May 4, 2023 @ 10:00 AM The proposed Scope of work for this project is two parts and should be bid independently. This scope of work includes, but not limited to furnishing all equipment, labor, and materials to do the following work: A. Tom Varn Park Outdoor Basketball Court Resurfacing 301 Darby Lane, Brooksville, FL 34601 Resurface two (2) basketball courts with a four (4) coat system. B. Bud McKethan Park Outdoor Tennis/Pickleball Court Resurfacing 800 John Gary Grubbs Blvd., Brooksville, FL 34601 Resurface three (3) tennis/pickleball courts with a four (4) coat system The City of Brooksville Parks and Recreation provides resources and services for the purposes of leisure, entertainment, and recreational pursuits. Resources include public spaces and facilities like parks, nature preserves, open space areas, greenways, trails, indoor/outdoor recreation, art programs and built structures for sport to include indoor and outdoor courts. The proposed Scope of work for this project is two parts and should be bid independently. This scope of work includes, but not limited to furnishing all equipment, labor and materials to do the following work: A. Tom Varn Park Outdoor Basketball Court Resurfacing 301 Darby Lane, Brooksville, FL 34601 Resurface two (2) basketball courts with a four (4) coat system: 1. Pressure wash any mildew off the courts to provide a proper base for adhesion of resurfacing materials. 2. Flood the courts and check for puddles where standing water covers 1/8" in depth (thickness of a nickel) 3. Dry after the surface has been able to dry, under sunny conditions, for 1 hour. 4. Patch these areas of 1/8" depth or more with Acrylic Patch Binder cement mix to reduce the amount of standing water. Water that does not cover a nickel after an hour is tolerant. 5. Resurface the existing two courts area using Sport Master or comparable specifications and materials with a 4-coat color system, in the colors chosen by the City, with no additional charge applied for two-tone color: a) Two (2) coats of Acrylic Resurfacer, fortified with sand, applied to prepare the court surface for the following color coats. Followed by the application of: b) Two (2) coats of Color Concentrate, fortified with sand, to provide uniformity & depth of color. 6. Re-stripe all game lines with one (1) coat of Stripe Right Primer or comparable and one (1) coat of heavy bodied Textured T/C White Line Paint. 7. Install four (4) new outdoor commercial steel basketball goal/hoop systems with the following specifications: o 8" x 6" monster-sized, steel main pole o Regulation-sized 72"-wide backboard with 1/2 "- thick tempered glass o Collegiate Flex(R) Rim with Single Pivot(R) Break-Away Design o 1 UV-coated net o 1 strong extension arm o 2" - thick padding for main pole and base o 1" - thick backboard padding o Anchor system with (4) J-bolts and rebar o Rust-resistant galvanized steel o Stainlesssteel hardware o No-Break Backboard Protection(R) Water and electricity will be provided to the vendor for completion of the above work. Install three (3) tennis nets and steel posts (total of 6 posts) All work must be guaranteed for a minimum of two years along with manufacturer warranty for products. Water and electricity will be provided to the vendor/contractor for completion of the above work
