Dingell VA Medical Center (VAMC) located in Detroit, MI. An Invitation for Bid (IFB) is planned to be issued on or about May 31, 2023. LOCATION OF WORK: Buildings 100, 101, 102 and 103 The general intent of this project is to upgrade the Fire Alarm System and all components. Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: The Construction Contractor shall provide all necessary equipment, material and labor to complete the upgrades as shown and specified in the drawings and specifications. The Construction Contractor shall coordinate and work with JCI/Simplex to upgrade the Fire Alarm System according to the requirements of the John D. Dingell VAMC along with City, State and Federal Fire Alarm Regulations. The period of performance for the project is One Hundred Twenty (120) calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Complete details of the project requirements will be provided via issuance of the solicitation. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, with a small business size standard of $45 million. Magnitude of cost for this project is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract within 120 days from bid opening date. This acquisition is a 100% set-aside for qualified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB).
