Daviess Co. Public Schools, Miscellaneous Athletic Projects 2023 The Work includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition, building demolition, site clearing, earthwork, water distribution, sanitary sewerage, trenching and backfill, subdrainage, storm drainage, asphalt paving, concrete paving joint sealants, tennis court surfacing, chain link fences and gates, lawns and grasses, turf subsurface, cast-in-place concrete, unit masonry assemblies, metal fabrications, metal stairs, rough carpentry, metal-plate connected wood trusses, plastic paneling, building insulation, metal roof panels, fiber cement siding, soffits, firestopping, joint sealants, metal doors and frames, access doors, overhead coiling doors, sectional overhead doors, aluminum windows, door hardware, resilient wall base and accessories, painting, high performance coatings, toilet compartments, signs, post and panel signs, fire protection specialties, toilet and bath accessories, food service equipment, sports equipment, scoreboards, grandstand seating systems, and complete clean-up and removal of construction debris. The Daviess County Board of Education will receive lump sum sealed bids on a general contract for a project at three sites; Apollo High School Tennis Courts, Daviess County High School Soccer Field, and Daviess County High School Softball Field. The Project name is "DAVIESS COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS, MISCELLANEOUS ATHLETIC PROJECTS 2023, OWENSBORO, KENTUCKY", as shown on Contract Documents prepared by the Architect, RBS Design Group, P.S.C. Drawings and specifications are dated March 1, 2023. Apollo High School Tennis Courts: Replace 3 existing tennis courts, new surface and striping, nets, posts; New fencing and wind screens; sidewalk access to parking lot New LED lighting (existing poles to be re-used); Remove trees; Provide concrete pad for grandstands (provided by Owner); Provide 10'x12' concrete pad for shed (shed by owner); Add hose bibb; provide trees as indicated. Daviess County High School Soccer Field: Building demolition; New wood framed 2 story concessions/toilet building of approximately 2284 SF; relocate bleachers each side of building, add concrete pad, add one section of bleachers and sidewalks; New scoreboard; Add netting at one end of field; Rewire speakers, replace PA system; New LED lighting (re-use existing poles); Drainage improvements between practice fields; New entrance/gate/ticket booth modification/lighting; additional parking. Daviess County High School Softball Field: Widen access road, includes surface wear course on existing drive, parking along the side and ADA parking spaces; concrete paving; Add center bleachers; Replace fencing at both base lines, full length; New LED lighting; Bullpens, fenced, and turfed (alternate bid). Proposals will be received as a Lump Sum Bid(s) for the work indicated in the Bidding Documents. One set of the Bidding Documents may be obtained by contractors from Maco-Evansville Blue, 600 Court Street, Evansville, Indiana 47708 (812/464-8108), upon deposit of Two Hundred Dollars for each set of Documents. General Contractors may obtain two (2) sets on deposit. Additional sets may be purchased at a cost of Two Hundred Dollars per set, non-refundable. Check covering deposit shall be made payable to the order of the Daviess County Public Schools. All mailing charges (nonrefundable), if required, are to be arranged in advance with and paid directly to Maco-Evansville Blue with a separate check. Electronic copies of the plans will be available and shall be arranged with and paid for directly to Maco-Evansville Blue (non-refundable). Partial sets of documents are not available. Deposits will be refunded to contractors who submit a bona fide proposal to the Owner (directly or through a prime contractor) and return the documents, in an acceptable and reusable condition within ten days of the opening of the bids. No bids may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days there from. The scoring of bids/proposals is subject to Reciprocal preference for Kentucky resident bidders and Preferences for a Qualified Bidder. The Owner reserves the right to determine the ability of any bidder to perform the work, and upon the request of the Owner, any bidder shall furnish such information as may be required to make this determination. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a performance and payment bond and a material and payment bond. The bidder's required Performance and Payment Bonds shall be in the combined amount of the materials designated in their bid to be acquired by Purchase Order by the Owner and all remaining items of cost specified in the respective Bid Package. The premium for the bonds shall be included in the proposal amount(s). The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bids received where such acceptance, rejection or waiver is considered to be in the best interest of the Owner and to reject any bid where evidence of information submitted by the bidder does not satisfy the Owner that the Bidder is qualified to carry out the details of the Contract Documents.
